As a sophomore in 2015, he ran for 1,463 yards and 17 TDs, earning second-team All-ACC honors. He attended Charlotte (N.C.) Catholic High School and was named 2013 Associated Press North Carolina High School Player of the Year after rushing for 3,690 yards as a senior.
