“The visible effect made on a surface by pressure”

42 Dugg and EST Gee released their joint project, Last Ones Left, which you can stream on all platforms HERE via CMG Records/Warlike/Interscope Records.

A 16-track collection of vivid, grim, and knocking street rap, Last Ones Left merges the artists’ respective sounds and includes appearances by BIG30, Tae Money, Reaper as well as rising stars from both of their labels such as 42 Cheez, EST Zo, EST Red and EST DeMike. In addition to project, the pair also shared the video for their bass-heavy track “Thump Shit”.

Last Ones Left creates a cohesive Midwest and Southern hybrid sound and includes several collaborations between Dugg and Gee, solo songs from each heavyweight and new music from the artists in each respective camp.

The duo first announced the project during the CMG Press Conference in February alongside CEO Yo Gotti and label compatriots Moneybagg Yo and Blocboy JB. Since then, both artists joined forces to release scorching songs within the past few weeks, including “Free The Shiners,” “Everybody Shooters Too” and “Thump Shit.”

On the opening song of Last Ones Left , Dugg and Gee bulldoze the thumping drums and lugubrious piano of a Helluva-produced beat as they flex and instill fear in their enemies, the diamonds on their necks and wrists glinting as they drive past yellow-taped crime scenes. Meanwhile, quaking lead single “Free the Shiners” is a masterclass in passing the mic.

Dugg and Gee proved their dynamic chemistry well before Last Ones Left. Dugg first appeared on Gee“Members Only” (2020), and in early 2021 Gee hopped on “Rose Gold” from Dugg’s Free Dem Boyz. Over the past year, the duo solidified their synergy with additional collaborations on Gee’s “5500 Degrees” and Gotti’s “Cold Gangsta.”

Beyond their collective success, Gee and Dugg have become individual forces as recording artists. When Dugg released his Free Dem Boyz project in 2021, it debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 with smash songs like “4 Da Gang” and “Maybach” that surged on the Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, Gees 2021 offering, Bigger Than Life or Death, reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and captured the No. 1 spot on Apple’s All-Genre chart. His single “5500 Degrees” with Lil Baby, Dugg, and Rylo Rodriguez also appeared on the Billboard 100.

With their combined power on Last Ones Left, 42 Dugg and EST Gee will be the first ones to the top of every chart and year-end list.
