Lindsey Sobkowski is a photographer based in Michigan. She mainly shoots portraits and live music photos. She has always found a lingering interest in photography since she was a child, and in June of 2018 she finally was able to get her hands on her first DSLR camera. Being an avid concert attendee for years now, she grew a fond interest in the music industry and started photographing shows, the first being the Michigan date of the final cross-country Vans Warped Tour. Currently, she is in the middle of her senior year of high school. She is trying to build up a portfolio of work and is working to expand her skills and knowledge of photography and writing. She one day wants to be working full time within the music industry.
Alma’s story begins in the mountains of Nicaragua where she was born and spent her first 17 years. Growing up, her bedroom walls were covered with images of The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and various other rock legends. She dreamed of the big rock concerts that sadly would probably never visit her small town of Jinotega, Nicaragua.
Always camera obsessed, she migrated to Wichita Kansas in 2005 and finally surrendered to her photographic daemon in 2010 when she slowly began pursuing her art. She quickly became known as a local shutterbug, being invited to photograph social gatherings and local events. Alma moved to Nashville in 2016 where she’s worked as a photographer for an international modeling agency and a children’s portrait studio. She also began her Instagram photojournal @Humans_Of_Nashville where she explores her passions for travel and street photography.
