Anna of the North Releases New Track ‘Dandelion’

Anna of the North has today released new track ‘Dandelion’. It’s the Norweigan pop star’s second solo single of the year to follow Gus Dapperton collaboration ‘Meteorite’. With 500M+ streams under her belt, co-signs from Tyler, The Creator, Dua Lipa, Rejiie Snow, Steve Lacy and more, Anna of the North is the pop star who has been hiding in plain sight…

As hopeful as it is vulnerable, ‘Dandelion’ compares a previous love to the fleetingness of a dandelion in the wind. Anna conveys the loss and optimism that arrives when the person is right, but the timing is wrong. ‘Dandelion’ is a song about lost love,” she comments. “The kind of love that can’t stay for obvious reasons…still there is hope that one day it’ll work out.” Arriving on the heels of the ‘Meteorite’, the track continues Anna’s journey building a home of her own and inviting you for a visit: introducing viewers to Anna’s living room, complete with her fluffy dog and thriving plants. Working hand in hand with Australian designer Montana Kitching to bring the room ‘to life,’ fans can expect to see more of Anna’s home alongside future music.

Anna of the North strikes an emotional chord regardless of continent, collaborator or genre. Her music has taken on an unexpected life of its own: from winning a Norwegian Grammy Award for ‘Dream Girl’ to landing syncs with iPad and Netflix, plus ‘opening’ for Katy Perry at the first ever Zoomtopia. Anna of the North is the only artist featured in all three ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ films, quicky going viral on Spotify and charting on iTunes in over 30 countries. Few modern artists could appear as at home working with Tyler, The Creator (Anna lent vocals to two tracks on ‘Flower Boy’ alongside Frank Ocean, Steve Lacy and Rex Orange County) as they are duetting with Rejjie Snow or touring with Anderson Paak. All of which has led Anna of the North to ‘Meteorite’, and where she finds herself now: a pop star and fearless young woman set to make 2022 her year.
