ARIN RAY RELEASES MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “WAIT SO LONG”
Ahead of the release of his anticipated EP Phases III, which releases next Friday October 20th, singer, songwriter, and producer Arin Ray releases the official visuals for the lead single “Wait So Long.” Watch HERE. Moody and relatable, the track explores the fear and frustration that occurs when a lover hesitates to declare their love. The visuals, directed by Hannan Hussain, mock the moody vibe of the record and include stylish performance-style vignettes of Arin and scenes with his video love interest. Throughout the visuals, Arin continues to explore his style with elevated looks on full display from designers including Rick Owens, Vivienne Westwood, Valentino, Celine and more.
Later this month, the 28-year-old multi-hyphenate will take his talents on the road with the Phases Tour. Kicking off in Vancouver, Canada on October 25, the live trek will set down in major cities such as Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and New York, before wrapping up in Los Angeles on November 28th. “Wait So Long” is Ray’s first new offering since the arrival of his lauded sophomore album, Hello Poison, last summer. The project included lush, decadent singles such as “The Mood” and “Gold.” That album was preceded by his EP Phases II, which like the latest installment, showcases the vast and varied strengths of one of the most powerful voices in the recording world. Prior to that came Platinum Fire in 2018, the crooner’s acclaimed major-label debut in which he incorporated contemporary jazz, neo-soul, hip-hop and more to unleash an album that dazzles and devastates in equal measure. The release sent Ray to new heights, claiming 175 million streams in the U.S. alone. Now, with “Wait So Long,” he returns with another mesmerizing track that showcases his ability to convey complex emotions and touch hearts.
