BATON ROUGE’S OWN BWAY YUNGY IS DARK HEARTED WITH THE RELEASE OF HIS DEBUT MIXTAPE

The historic city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana has another star on the rise. 17-year-old rapper, BWay Yungy is Baton Rouge’s next big thing, releasing his debut mixtape today, Dark Hearted. The 9-track tape is aptly named, speaking to not only the rapper’s personal sentiment but describing a feeling that most around the world can relate to while adjusting to the pandemic. Dark Hearted is available now via all digital retailers and streaming platforms HERE.

BWay Yungy has a keen ability to turn his thoughts into freestyles and clever wordplay on tracks. With Dark Hearted, carefully-crafted tracks give insight into his recent struggles, ranging from dealing with loss, drug addiction and love.

BWay Yungy is just getting started, having racked up over 10 million views in just eight months alone before his major label debut. Before the release of his debut, BWay introduced “For Me,” a single geared towards his female audience which highlights a different side of him.  In the past, the rising star has flexed with fiery records like “Bag Na” and focused freestyles such as “Be Alright,” which illuminates his melodic side with a high register hook. Meanwhile, “Perpetuate” highlights hyper-charged verses before another resounding refrain; and fans have loved all these tracks as they have amassed almost 4M views.

Fans can expect to see a lot of new music from BWay in the coming months as he cements his place as a true talent coming out of the south.
