BIG SEAN CELEBRATES 10th ANNIVERSARY OF FINALLY FAMOUS SEMINAL DEBUT ALBUM WITH HISTORIC RE-RELEASE AVAILABLE TODAY VIA G.O.O.D. MUSIC/DEF JAM

Grammy®-nominated, multi-platinum artist Big Sean celebrates one of the most momentous events in his storied career, the 10th anniversary re-release of his seminal debut album FINALLY FAMOUS, available today – as it was on June 28, 2011 – via Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music/Def Recordings. The re-release includes new song “Freshman 10 Freestyle” and accompanying video which is a salute to Sean’s XXL Freshman Class of 2010.

The critically acclaimed FINALLY FAMOUS netted multi-platinum single sales for “Dance (A$$) Remix” featuring Nicki Minaj, “My Last” featuring Chris Brown, and “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay” featur­­ing Kanye West and Roscoe Dash.  The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Rap chart, #2 on the R&B/hip-hop chart, and #3 on the 200 Albums pop chart – a formidable opening week for a world-class superstar.

Significantly, the RIAA platinum FINALLY FAMOUS was the first of Sean’s five official albums to debut at #1 Rap, followed by Hall Of Fame in 2013.  His landmark RIAA double-platinum Dark Sky Paradise (2015) and I Decided (2017) and Detroit 2 (2020) would all go on to debut across-the-board at #1 on the pop, R&B/hip-hop, and Rap charts.  Twenty88, Sean’s 2016 collab with fellow G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam star Jhené Aiko, also debuted at #1 on the Rap and R&B/hip-hop charts.

Big Sean’s most recent album Detroit 2 was released on September 4, 2020 and featured a steady flow of advance single + video releases included “Deep Reverence” featuring Nipsey Hussle which went on to garner a GRAMMY nomination for

Best Rap Performance.
