Buzzing Louisiana rapper Calvary Kylan returns with the bruising new single, “Step.” Listen HERE via Geffen Records. The turn-up anthem track finds the 15-year-old MC blending rapid-fire bars with an undeniable sense of melody, creating a one-of-a-kind concoction that is both irresistibly catchy and dazzlingly technical. “Step” is available now at all digital retailers.

The track, which features production by Brando Beatz, is an infectious, thrilling display of verbal pyrotechnics from the rising young artist. Over trunk-rattling bass, woozy synths, and plucked guitar melodies, he offers casual threats and cool bravado. “Let’s have a stick fight, lose or win I’m diving in my people love to pick fights,” he raps. “Hop up off a plane back to that smoke, that was a quick flight.”

Kylan attacks the beat like it’s done him wrong, finding pockets of the groove to unleash some of his strongest bars to date. The track draws a definitive line in the sand: If you’re with him, he’ll go to war with you, but if you cross him, watch out.

“Step” follows other raucous anthems such as “Purple Flags (Feat. Rob49),” “Red Dot,” and “No Attemptz.” With a co-sign from NLE Choppa along with support from all sorts of corners of the industry, Kylan is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new voices in rap. With “Step,” the wildly promising Calvary Kylan reminds everyone why the rap game follows his every move with anticipation.
