Cinders Announces LP + Josh Radnor Dir. Music Video w/Abigail Spencer Premieres via BlackBook

Salt Lake City indie-rock trio Cinders will release their new album – No One’s Home – on August 27th. Produced by the band and mixed by GRAMMY-award winning engineer Phil Joly (Daft PunkLana Del ReyThe Strokes), No One’s Home will be celebrated with a special record release show at The Complex in Salt Lake City on August 28th – presented by Utah alternative station X96, tickets are available for purchase HERE.

The album news is accompanied by the release of the official music video for their new single “Afternoon,” which premiered today via BlackBook Magazine. Directed by Josh Radnor (How I Met Your MotherHunters) and starring Abigail Spencer (Mad MenSuits), the video came together partially thanks to a post on social media.

“Afternoon” follows album single “Growing Up,” which was released in February with playlist support from Spotify and Apple Music and airplay from Jason Bentley at KCRW and Sirius XM’s Alt Nation among others. The two songs are the first taste of new music from Cinders since the release of their self-released, nostalgia-drenched sophomore album Looking Forward to Looking Back in 2018.

Cinders’ new album No One’s Home is out on August 27th and you can catch the band live at The Complex in Salt Lake City on August 28th. “Growing Up” and “Afternoon” are both available to stream via all DSPs and you can watch the brand-new music video for “Afternoon” HERE.
