Cinematic signee/trap monster LK Snoop’s “Racks”

LK Snoop is a rising new talent coming out of Montgomery, AL. While he’s starting to stack his accolades, the part I’m most excited about is his promise — there hasn’t been a talent like Snoop to come out of Montgomery in forever (RIP Doe B). He’s mastered the art of melody, using his auto-tuned Southern drawl to dwell on the highs and lows of street life. You can tell that the 20 yo is excited too. On “Racks,” his energy is nearly manic, spitting so rapid-fire that it’s almost like he’s trying to showcase every bit of talent he has in just 2 minutes and 42 seconds.

As for LK Snoop’s growing accolades, he just signed to Cinematic/2713 Ent. (Eldorado Red’s label). Now residing in Atlanta, he worked with Zaytoven, Eearz, and Luh Soldier for this mixtape. At the tail end of 2018 he saw success with Project Supa Star. The 10-track, Big Rankin-hosted collective, which features fan favorites Yungeen Ace, Eldorado Red and HoodRich Pablo Juan, has been streamed over 100k times to date, and his collab with Yungeen Ace is about to hit 500k on YT. Both Project Supa Star and 1900 Block Opp, Snoop’s latest effort, showcase a young artist who is mature beyond his years, as he narrates tales from his ongoing come up.
