COMA share hypnotic new single ‘Snurrebassen’

Out Now on City Slang

Coma

Cologne electronic duo COMA return with hypnotic new single and hint on a new album. ‘Snurrebassen’ is the first track for their new label City Slang and lures you in with a hypnotic build-up and an irresistible spiraling shuffle beat, reflecting the haunted memories of their 90’s childhoods, years of techno and EDM, and a loving nod to 80’s pop.

Snurrebassen was the starting point for us to work on new music. It is the first song we produced together in a long time.”

Marius Bubat and Georg Conrad aka. COMA are not new to fans of the German electronic underground; they have had their fair share of fame for their releases on Colognes trailblazers KOMPAKT. Early love from the media including Pitchfork, SPIN, XLR8R and The Guardian unanimously celebrated COMA’s “playfulness, prettiness and the kind of intense pleasure that results from perfectly interwoven melodies“.

‘Snurrebassen’ opens up a whole new chapter. It’s not only the first single for new label City Slang but it’s also sharing a first glimpse into what will soon be announced as the new album later this year. Seeking the freedom to express a more personal and intimate version of electronic pop music. The duo willingly abandoned the beaten path, taking time to develop their skills and musicianship, staying off the radar working on every detail of their thinly stretched electronic pop canvas that is this album.
