Continuing a massive 2021, global superstar, music entrepreneur and Reggaeton icon Daddy Yankee unveils his new single and music video “SÚBELE EL VOLUMEN” (Turn Up the Volume) with Myke Towers and Jhay Cortez today via El Cartel Records/Republic Records.
He announced the surprise release of the song and revealed its cover on Wednesday, amplifying anticipation among fans. Once again, he co-produced the track alongside DJ Luian and Mambo King. Sonically, it fuses high energy reggaeton with up-tempo hip-hop and another magnetic hook. The accompanying visual reflects this vibe. Directed by Marlon Peña (“Con Calma,” “PROBLEMA”) and filmed in Santurce, located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the clip tells the story of an intriguing and empowered female protagonist in the middle of an unforgettable night. The video’s intense edits and stylized footage move in tandem with the beat.
Next Thursday, July 22, Univision’s “Premios Juventud” (PJ / Youth Awards), renowned for recognizing artists who are using their star power to drive change across the world, will honor global superstar Daddy Yankee with its prestigious “Agent of Change” award. The 18th edition of this summer’s most awaited celebration will air on Thursday, July 22, at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Univision.

It arrived on the heels of his global anthem “PROBLEMA,” which has impressively gathered over 616 million streams. Additionally, he shut down Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Good Morning America with unforgettable performances.
