DOMINIC FIKE SHARES NEW SINGLE/VIDEO “DANCING IN THE COURTHOUSE”
A PERSONAL SONG ABOUT FACING CHALLENGES AND FINDING REDEMPTION
FORTHCOMING SOPHOMORE LP DUE THIS YEAR VIA COLUMBIA RECORDS
Dominic Fike shares new single “Dancing In The Courthouse,” which arrives today alongside a Jack Begert-directed video that finds Dom returning to hit native Florida. The song and video speak to his upbringing in the state — with its highs, lows and undeniably unique culture — that has been referenced in a series of vignettes shared by Dom on social media over the past week. More specifically, the song references Dom’s own coming of age in Florida and childhood run-ins with the law that ultimately led to his being placed on house arrest and a short stint in jail just ahead of his debut EP introducing him to the world at large. The song showcases the effortless pop sensibilities that Dom first made apparent on his Don’t Forget About Me, Demos EP while demonstrating his undeniable growth as a songwriter.
Today’s release also serves as the first taste of Dom’s forthcoming album, set for release this year through Columbia Records. Listen to and watch “Dancing In The Courthouse” above now and stay tuned for more from Dominic Fike soon.
