EMPRESS OF SHARES NEW SINGLE ‘YOU’VE GOT TO FEEL’ FEAT. AMBER MARK

Today sees Lorely Rodriguez aka Empress Of share her latest single ‘You’ve Got To Feel’, a punchy and infectious call to arms in collaboration with New York based singer-songwriter, Amber Mark. Alongside the track, Empress Of is announcing the launch of her own record label Major Arcana. The track premiered as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 last night and is available to buy/stream via all DSPs.

Empress Of claims her role as producer in ‘You’ve Got To Feel’ and passes the mic to Amber Mark who inspires listeners with an empowering message ahead of the American presidential election next month. The track is a masterclass in production from Lorely, layering textures and gorgeous harmonies over an arpeggiated piano riff, filtering her own vocal line to draw attention to Amber’s socially conscious lyrics that call on listeners to make their voices heard.

Today’s release follows on from I’m Your Empress Of – Lorely’s third and most recent album released back in March. Rodriguez wrote and produced the entire album except ‘U Give It Up’ and ‘Hold Me Like Water’, for which she enlisted the help of Jim E-Stack and Mikey Freedom Hart, respectively, and executive production co-helmed by BJ Burton. It was written over a 2-month period in between a lengthy touring stint and explores themes of heartbreak and family heritage. Stream the album here.
