Cartel Management Australia (CMA) is a boutique artist development agency based in Victoria, Australia. Founded in 2015 by Christina Rinaldi who has an extensive background in events, label services and communications, and Anthony Agostino a former touring artist and record producer with a background in digital marketing. The pair have put their professional experiences together to create a resource hub for independent & developing artists, labels, and events in the music space.

Operating across 3 divisions, the intention of Cartel is to bridge the gap of knowledge between grass roots / developing artists and career / label artists within the music industry, providing assistance in the areas of growth and knowledge that are not often easily accessible or taught to artists that do not have initial industry connections.

Cartel’s deliberately small management roster consists of two development acts that have seen tremendous growth in a short period of time. Josh Cashman, a Melbourne based singer-songwriter whose highlights include releasing an independent debut album to industry acclaim, touring across North America & Canada, collaborating with Tash Sultana on their most recent album and co-writing with the likes of well-known Australian figures Stephen Mowatt, Ed Quinn (Slum Sociable), Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy) and many more. Cartel’s second signing is Brisbane based hip-hop export, iiiConic, who has seen steady support on digital stores and national radio, collaborations with internationally recognised artist Masked Wolf, and the main support for powerhouses TYGA and A$AP Ferg on their Australian Tours.

“Our philosophy for artist management is heavily formed around my experience as an artist, and Christina’s experience as an industry operator. Our focus for management is to always be ‘artist centric’ ensuring that we sign, based on the realistic goals and aligned vision of the artist and ourselves. We want both of our management artists to feel like we are an extension of them and their- project, representing their best interests and their vision for growth. We don’t feel like you can have that personal approach with an inflated roster.”

Cartel’s creative sector is a consulting service, established to assist in the development of artists & music businesses. It’s purpose is to create awareness through brand & social media coaching as well as build solid foundations through public relations and strategic marketing. With extensive connections and the ability to outsource other creative services to give clients a streamlined understanding of growth. Cartel has worked with artists / events around the globe, assisting in music discovery and awareness. Some of these include; Masked Wolf, SHOUSE, Rema, Tyron Hapi, Live Nation Entertainment (Festival X / Download Festival), Mushroom Group and prominent labels Virgin Music (formerly Caroline), Onelove Music Group and Vicious Recordings.

“It has always been a goal of ours to give artists an understanding of what actually goes into a public relations campaign, what they can expect, what the processes to grow meaningfully over time are and what the tangible results actually mean for their development. It is so important to us that artists have control over their narrative and their development, as well as an understanding of how to achieve their goals for the project.”
