GERARDO ORTIZ Debuts His New Single And Video Titled “LOS ENVIDIOSOS”
Regional Mexican music singer-songwriter and producer Gerardo Ortiz today debuts his new single and music video, “Los Envidiosos”, which is the third single off of his much-awaited album, No Tengo Rival.
The video for “Los Envidiosos”, directed by Pablo Croce, was shot in Los Angeles. Croce is a well-skilled filmmaker with extensive experience from his celebrated award-winning music video career. This brief, but fruitful partnership was inevitable.
In this video, we see a lively and charismatic Ortiz dressed in black entirely, led by his wardrobe essential – the black sombrero. This corrido ballad, which carries catchy lyrics with prominent vocals from Gerardo and a soothing acoustic guitar, is headed for much success in the industry. It could easily be considered an instant classic simply for what it offers musically: original music and lyrics with much to talk about.
No Tengo Rival is scheduled for release this upcoming July. In this album, it is obvious that Ortiz continues to dive into what he loves most: singing and performing what he so skillfully creates with his musical writings.
Previously, the two-time Grammy® nominated artist released “Modo Crudo” and “El Gabito”. Both tracks received immense national and international recognition, and are also an integral part of No Tengo Rival.
Throughout his illustrious career spanning more than a decade, Ortiz has earned many awards including several Premio Lo Nuestros and many Latin American Music Awards, among others.
Gerardo Ortiz is currently on tour in the U.S. and Mexico with more future dates to be announced soon.
