GLORIA TREVI RENEWS CONTRACT WITH UNIVERSAL MUSIC LATINO

Mexican singer and songwriter, Gloria Trevi, renewed her music contract with Universal Music Latino on March 26th in the city of Miami. Without a doubt, the close relationship between Jesus Lopez (Chairman & CEO Latin America & Iberian Peninsula), who discovered the singer and signed her first album in 1989, and the pop superstar, was fundamental when it came to the renewed agreement, as they have more than 32 years of friendship and trust under their belt with many hits together and a musical career for Gloria like no other. This new milestone proves the pop star continues to be more relevant than ever, and she still has a long journey ahead with many more hits to create.

“I’m going to explode with new music, uncontrollable follies and heart wrenching romantic songs that will continue to be soundtracks to our lives. I’m renewing with Universal in this new stage of my life that will be more epic and fun, because what is the sense of having a life if you are not going to live it!”

– Gloria Trevi

“From the first moment Gloria stepped on the stage she has defended women’s rights, not only with her songs but also through her fight, and she continues to be the first line of attack so Mexican women and women around the world have equal opportunities and rights.”

– Jesus Lopez

Gloria Trevi continues representing innovation, fight, and passion. She exhibits the same energy in each of her albums and in every stage that she has stepped on the past 32 years.  Her musical career is like no other and the entire team at Universal Music is very proud to continue working with her to further ensure her dreams come true.

Trevi has four #1 albums in the United States and appears as one of Pollstar’s “Top 50 Highest Grossing Female Artists of the XXI Century,” joined by super stars like Madonna, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga. Her tour “Diosa de la Noche” (Goddess of the Night) was recognized as the highest grossing tour by a Mexican female artist and she closed 2020 among the list of Top 10 “Most Listened to Female Artists” in Spotify Mexico.

Amidst the recent crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Gloria Trevi pushed several philanthropic initiatives to help Mexican communities, she supported Fundación Ana Dalai and also advocated for workers in partnership with México Artesanal. This Latin and Mexican pride pours her soul into her music and helps those who need it most.

It comes as no surprise Trevi was awarded the Premio Lo Nuestro for her musical career and trajectory this past month. She is currently working on her new album, which will be released this summer. The whole world will continue dancing and enjoying Gloria Trevi’s music for many years to come.
