GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING ARTIST AMBRÉ DROPS NEW VIDEO FOR SINGLE “ILLUSIONZ”
Today, GRAMMY award-winning self-taught musician, producer, and writer Ambré released a new music video for her single “Illusionz” featuring BEAM and Destin Conrad. The video, released on Ambré’s birthday, was directed by child. (credits: Future, Wiz Kid, Doja Cat). The track, originally released on Ambré’s most recent solo project, 3000°, begins softly then switches to a bass heavy banger. The video will premiere on BET Jams and BET Soul and will be played throughout the day in half-hour birthday blocks.
“‘Illusionz’ is my favorite music video I’ve done so far… the energy was crazy,” says Ambré. “We really moshed all night to this song, and had a good time doing it. It was a release. I’m so grateful to be doing what I love and sharing my music with the world.”
“Honestly, working with Ambré at this point of her career has been poetic,” says child. “She’s constantly evolving creatively and musically. Painting ‘Illusionz’ with her was magical and had so much energy, and I’m thankful to be a part of her journey.”
Dedicated to New Orleans, the city where Ambré was born and raised, 3000° was released in June via Roc Nation and includes features from BEAM, Jay Electronica, Jvck James, and Destin Conrad. The EP is an ode to New Orleans classics – Juvenile’s ‘400 Degreez’ and Lil Wayne’s ‘500 Degreez’. Having collaborated with the likes of 6LACK, Thundercat, and D Smoke, Ambré has over 66 million global streams and growing, and has written songs for Chlöe x Halle, Kehlani, and H.E.R – earning Ambré a 2019 Grammy.
Ambré can be seen performing next month at Made In America fest in Philadelphia and Brooklyn’s Afropunk festival.
