GRAMMY NOMINATED RAPPER LATTO DROPS “PUT IT ON DA FLOOR”
TEASED LATEST TRACK AT HER DEBUT COACHELLA SET WEEKEND 1
ATL-based Grammy nominated rapper Latto drops “Put It On Da Floor” via RCA Records. Debuted at Coachella Weekend 1 this past week, Latto’s latest single is produced by Go Grizzly (Future), Squat & Pooh Beatz (Jack Harlow). This follows the release of her single and video “Lottery” featuring LU KALA.
Latto ended last year hitting the lotto – she garnered two 2023 Grammy nominations for “Best New Artist” and “Melodic Rap Performance” for “Big Energy (Live)” in addition to winning awards for “Best New Artist” at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards and BET Awards. The three-time 2022 AMA nominee and four-time 2022 VMA nominee presented at both respective award shows and was announced with the honor of the “Breakthrough Artist” Award for the 2022 Variety Hitmakers. Recently, Latto was honored with the “Powerhouse Award” at Billboard’s 2023 Women in Music Awards and is now back on tour with Lizzo for the second leg of her Special Tour.
With over 1 billion streams worldwide across all platforms and accolades continuing to rack up from her success, it’s clear that Latto has set the stage to become a global superstar. The release of her hit RIAA-certified 2x Platinum single “Big Energy” in September 2021 has made Latto inescapable. She went on to make history with the single as the first female rapper to ever have a #1 record at Pop, Rhythm and Urban Radio with the same single. Overall, she’s also the first female artist in 12 years to accomplish this feat, joining the company of Rihanna (“Rude Boy”), Alicia Keys (“No One”), Beyoncé (“Irreplaceable”), Mary J. Blige (“Be Without You”) and Mariah Carey (“We Belong Together”), the last five to previously achieve this. Last year she was also nominated for “Top Rap Female Artist” for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards and gave a fresh, elevated performance of “Big Energy”.
Latto delivered another show-stopping performance at the end of June with a medley of “It’s Givin” and “Big Energy (Remix)” – for the latter she brought out Mariah Carey and Young Dirty Bastard – after winning her first-ever award for “Best New Artist” at the 2022 BET Awards – watch the performance HERE / watch her acceptance speech HERE. Most recently, she performed at Spotify’s “Best New Artist” event, the legendary Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala and Billboard’s 2023 Women in Music Awards.
With the release of “Lottery” and “Put It On Da Floor,” the next chapter of Latto’s career begins with more new music, more vibrant visuals and more big energy from The Biggest. Stay tuned for more coming from Latto soon.
