Today, GRAMMY® Award-nominated visionary Hitmaka appeared on “I AM ATHLETE” for an exclusive interview. Touching on every phase of his career to a degree, he opened up about his journey, where he’s at, and his vision for the future. He digs into his journey as a creator, producer, A&R, and label exec, sharing all knowledge candidly and without a filter.

Meanwhile, his latest single, “Down Bad” [feat. Fabolous, Jeremih, & Ivory Scott] continues to increase numbers as it nears 1 million streams. HotNewHipHop gave the track rave reviews calling it “a smooth, Afrobeats jam that is perfect for these summer months and will certainly land itself on vacation playlists.” Rap Radar praised the single’s music video, writing that “over the super-producer’s dance-ready production, Loso, Jeremih, and Ivory Scott bring their romantic vibes in the presence of a bevy of women from an outdoor pool party to the bedroom.” In the official premiere on Revolt, the outlet wrote that Hitmaka “continues to remain one of the most sought-after producers in music.”

Earlier this summer, Hitmaka took to social media to celebrate selling 100 million records. In the Instagram post, he detailed his journey to reach the top of the hip-hop game and showed off the brand new plaque he received commemorating the milestone.

“My whole purpose is to be a testimony and inspire other people and show them that anything is possible,” he said to his followers. “I’m me, I’m still me, but when you put God first they can’t do nothing about it.”

The milestone was covered by HipHopDX and more. During the media blitz, Hitmaka sat down for a conversation with Bootleg Kev on The Bootleg Kev Podcast, where he talked about his achievements and lavish lifestyle. He also recently appeared on Good Day Atlanta, where he teased “Down Bad” and talked about being a Chicago native.

Stay tuned for even more to come from Hitmaka!
