IV JAY HAS “GOOD KARMA”

RISING R&B SONGSTRESS RETURNS WITH DEEPLY PERSONAL LGBTQ+ LOVE SONG

Rising R&B singer-songwriter IV JAY has shared her first official single of 2022 and most personal song to date. “Good Karma” is available now via So Amazin’ Entertainment/Atlantic Records at all DSPs and streaming services HERE.

IV – who identifies herself in the LGBTQ+ community – felt as there was not enough music that supports same sex relationships and wanted to create a song that other young women could turn to as an expression of their love. Her demo version of “Good Karma” fast proved a phenomenon on SoundCloud, with hundreds of LGBTQ+ couples soon starting a trend on TikTok promoting same sex relationships.

‘Good Karma’ is the first song I’ve written where I openly speak on loving a woman,” says IV JAY. “It’s amazing to create something so special and inclusive for the LGBTQ community.

Produced by So Amazin’ Studios’ Chini Slickback, “Good Karma” heralds IV JAY’s long awaited new project, due later this year. The upcoming release was previously preceded by last year’s acclaimed “Vibrate (Ft. Pink Sweat$)” and the sultry “Got Me Insane,” both available now at all DSPs and streaming services. Companion music videos are streaming now via her official YouTube channel HERE.

Currently boasting over 40M worldwide streams and close to 21M video views via YouTube alone, IV Jay earned rave reviews with a show-stopping performance at last fall’s Rolling Loud NYC.

2020 saw the arrival of IV JAY’s 5th Element EP, highlighted by such explosive tracks as “No Fun” and “Love Song,” the latter co-written by Pink Sweat$ and joined by an official music video, streaming now at YouTube HERE following its official premiere via PAPER. Directed by Nathan R. Smith (Dram, Joey Bada$$, 2 Chainz), the powerful video offers support to The Ally Coalition in their work alongside musicians to empower LGBTQ+ Youth. In addition, 5th Element includes “The Hard Way,” accompanied by an animated quarantine video, streaming now at YouTube following its official premiere via NYLON, which hailed IV JAY for “her clear-eyed vocals and stories of growing up at the lyrical forefront.

As if that weren’t enough, IV JAY also teamed with Luh Kel for 2020’s R&B hit, “Tweakin.” The track is joined by an official companion video, now with over 12M views via YouTube HERE.

5TH ELEMENT follows IV JAY’s 2018 breakthrough debut EP, IV, available now at all DSPs and streaming services. IV is highlighted by the hit single, “Thirsty,” available for individual streaming and download HERE. The track is joined by a companion video, streaming now via YouTube HERE following its exclusive premiere in The FADER which wrote, “(IV JAY) makes pop-leaning R&B propped up by sultry vocals… A confident and subtle flex, (‘Thirsty’) calls out all the desperate boys hitting up her phone and politely asks them to ‘please, just leave me alone!’

Featured as part of the Fall 2019 TOMMY JEANS global advertising campaign, IV JAY is well on her way to becoming a voice of change for her generation. The 20-year-old Paterson, NJ-born singer-songwriter first attracted online applause – and tens of thousands of followers – by posting a series of cover versions and original content. With her soulful voice and down-to-earth charm, IV JAY soon earned a deal with Atlantic Records and immediately set to work. Among her other triumphs, IV joined Kali Uchis, Helado Negro, and other Latinx stars performing at 2019’s landmark “Selena For Sanctuary” concert in New York’s Central Park, benefitting the immigrant rights organization Make The Road NY. IV has also earned a wide range of media attention and critical applause, including features in BillboardCOMPLEX, and Teen Vogue, which named her to its influential “16 Young Musicians You Need to Be Listening to In 2019,” writing, “There aren’t many young artists that truly embody the word ‘prodigy,’ but there’s no other way to describe IV JAY… Think Kelela-meets-SZA — you’re guaranteed to fall in love.
