Right out of the gate, “Ur Best Friend” amassed nearly 2 million worldwide streams to date. In addition to plugs by HYPEBAE and more, UPROXX raved, “Kiana and Kehlani bring their talents together.” HotNewHipHop rated the song “very hot” and predicted it’s “poised to climb the charts.” SoulBounce dubbed it a “sneaky link anthem for Summer 2021,” and Revolt praised how they fuse “their R&B talents together effortlessly in the new track about giving into temptation.”

On the track, a throwback beat simmers in the background with skittering cymbals, airy keys, and head-nodding bass.
