LPB Poody Drops New Video For “Front Bacc”
Rising Orlando rapper and Chameleon Ent. Associates signee LPB Poody is back today with a rambunctious music video for his rowdy single “Front Bacc.” The track is a standout solo cut from his recent mixtape I’m the One, which is otherwise studded with features from fellow Southern rap stars like Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Moneybagg Yo, and Yung Bleu. This new visual finds Poody taking over the TV airwaves in a series of hilarious broadcasts, showing off his unique sense of humor.
The up tempo track is one of the Florida MC’s most playful and energetic, blending clever one-liners with undeniable flexes, weaving real-life experiences into a dazzling array of couplets. And the video echoes Poody’s exuberant energy. It begins with the rapper starring in an infomercial for a product called “Poody Fit,” dancing alongside women clad in ’80s-inspired fitness outfits. From there, Poody takes over a few other TV broadcasts, including a news report from a crime scene, a late-night TV skit (“Lightpole Boy Carpool Karaoke”), and a milk advertisement. Each stars Poody at the center, rapping as he steals the show.
The singles and videos taken from “I’m the One” continue a hot streak for Poody, a wave of momentum furthered by the November release of the project’s title track and June’s “Batman (Remix),” which has earned over 50 million streams to date. That massive achievement arrived nearly two years after the release of his breakout single, “Address It.” Last summer, Poody spent a lot of his time teaming up with other rising artists including 42 Dugg on “Connected.” He released his Untamed project last January, with features from Yung Bleu and GCM 26. Fan favorites like “Radio Boyz,” “Ghostriders,” and “Welcome 2 Carver Shores” reaffirmed Poody’s knack for terse street raps. I’m the One has already made an impact, but with clever videos like “Front Bacc,” LPB Poody has proven that this recent run is just the beginning of his ascent.
