NORTH CAROLINA’S LAWSY RELEASES SULTRY NEW SINGLE “SO MANY REASONS”

Rising singer-rapper Lawsy drops the addictive new anthem “So Many Reasons.” Listen HERE via Listen To The Kids/Geffen Records. Sensual and smoldering, the track features the up-and-comer’s unique brand of hip-hop laced with soul, which he has dubbed “Sexxnb.” Alongside the track’s release comes a music video that showcases Lawsy’s unique charisma.

Lawsy’s songs never stray too far from the bedroom and “So Many Reasons” is no different. “Baby, I don’t know how to tell you how much I want you, tell you how much I need,” the North Carolina upstart sings over a deep groove and gentle chords washed in woozy effects. “Show you the life you wanted, love you for so many reasons.” Confident and dripping with attitude, his flow is that of a seasoned veteran.

The swagger-drenched bars of “So Many Reasons” are perfectly captured by the accompanying video. It finds Lawsy romancing a woman around town, including going for ice cream, taking cozy subway rides, and walking across a bridge. Like his music, the clip is raw, unfiltered, and completely true to his lothario aesthetic.

“So Many Reasons” is the first new release of the year from Lawsy, who watched his notoriety explode last year when the track “Hotel” became a viral hit, nabbing #8 on the U.S. Spotify Viral Chart and amassing over 15 million streams across all versions. The song is featured on his 12-track EP SEXXNB Vol. 1which dropped in the fall.

Inspired by musicians as diverse as Tyrese and Tony Shhnow, Lawsy brings a new dimension to the SoundCloud scene with woozy melodies and rich, immersive beats. Though he’s only been releasing music for a short time, EPs like Grown Hoes and Rich Drug Addict showcase his relentless work ethic and creativity, finding new ways to weave his voice with squirming synths and pounding percussion. Last year, Lawsy was selected as one of YouTube’s Artists on the Rise and reached the Top 150 of Shazam searches.

With his addictive new single, Lawsy is giving listeners “So Many Reasons” to get to know this exciting newcomer.
