ODESZA launches web game, hits cover of Pollstar
ODESZA‘s upcoming new album ‘The Last Goodbye’ is set to drop July 22 and as the group inches towards the release, the GRAMMY-nominated duo launched The Maze, an interactive web game that plays out like a cryptic scavenger hunt and which explores the themes of the album via “quests” assigned to each track. Since launching last Thursday, The Maze has had 20k unique sessions with players, with 5k having already completed it. The game also encourages teamwork through the group’s Discord, which has seen a bump of 3.5K+ users since the game launched.
The Maze is just another venture ODESZA has taken to immerse their dedicated fanbase in their creative world. On top of the new album dropping next week, ODESZA is also set to embark on a historic amphitheater live tour that will surely be a cinematic spectacle of light & sound which will take the group to new heights. They are out to prove that artists in the electronic world can sell-out amphitheater shows and bring dance music to those types of venues. Having already sold-out two shows at LA’s The Kia Forum and a show at New York’s Forest Hill Stadium, among others, ODESZA is well on their way to exceed those expectations.
In a recent Pollstar cover feature, the duo revealed that this tour will level-up an already impressive live show experience. It will bring back the beloved live drumline that became a fixture of their last album tour and captivating visuals, but really keep audiences on their toes with some surprises.
