Polo G continues his incredible breakout year as he extends his reign atop the Billboard Hot 100 with “RAPSTAR” at #1 for a 2nd week and #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Song Consumption Chart, making him the only male debut to spend 2 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 this year. It also becomes only the 22nd track in history to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 and log a second consecutive week on top.
Following last week’s amazing chart debuts around the world, along with the highest streaming debut of 2021 in the U.S. for a male artist and the 2nd highest streaming debut of the year for any artist in the U.S., “RAPSTAR” is now certified GOLD by the RIAA with over 500,000 units in consumption. The track has been #1 on Spotify U.S. since release and is #3 on the Global Spotify Chart, while it remains Top 5 on Official Charts around the world with over 115M streams globally. “RAPSTAR” is also the top added track at both Urban and Rhythm radio this week with over 87 stations leading the way.
Polo keeps up his YouTube top trending video chart streak with the release of his latest Genius VERIFIED episode and ZIAS! reaction videos. The Arrad directed music video for “RAPSTAR” has already amassed over 38 million views.
Since its release in May 2020, his critically acclaimed album THE GOAT has accrued over 3 Billion streams, 7 Gold and Platinum RIAA certifications, has been a mainstay on the charts and landed in multiple year-end best albums lists. The album is certified Platinum by the RIAA along with his debut album, Die A Legend. Polo G was named one of XXL’s Freshman Class in 2020, an annual roundup of hip-hop’s brightest new stars. He also secured a spot on the coveted Forbes 2021 30 Under 30 list and was named a FUSE TV Future Black History Honoree for February 2021.
