RISING POP ARTIST ASHLEY KUTCHER RELEASES EMOTIONAL NEW SINGLE “FAVORITE COLOR”
Rising pop artist Ashley Kutcher releases her touching new single “Favorite Color”, via Darkroom/Interscope Records. On the track, Kutcher fights for a struggling relationship, fearing re-entry into superficial dating culture. “Favorite Color” showcases the songstress’s signature breathy delivery, both intimate and soaring, as she pleads for another chance to be together.
“Step back and take a good look at everything we have, I don’t think it gets any better than that,” Kutcher sings on the sweeping ballad. Later she adds,“I can’t take another ‘What’s your favorite color?’” — before breaking down the monotony of first dates. She compares her current, passionate connection to so many pointless encounters she’s had to endure. It’s a relatable, powerful experience that tugs at the heartstrings.
While discussing the new track, Kutcher shares, “Favorite Color is about being scared to lose someone and the fear of having to go back to the shallow conversations of dating after loving someone so deeply.”
This is the latest single in a series of new releases from Kutcher this year including the poignant “Everyone and No One,” bittersweet “I Can’t Swim,” vulnerable “Boy From Carolina” and incendiary “Matchbox.” She belted out those hits on her headline tour with sold out shows in L.A. and New York. This builds on the artist’s breakout 2022, which saw the release of her EP Survive on My Own, featuring singles “Sleepy”, “Emotionless” and “Love You More.”
