RISING POP PHENOM NALIYA RELEASES GLEAMING NEW SINGLE “WHATEVER”

Rising Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer Naliya shares her gleaming new single, “Whatever,” today released via Immersive / Sandlot / Interscope Records. The track further highlights the pop phenom’s command of dreamy, delicate melodies and hard-hitting hooks as she sticks it to a former lover. It’s the sort of breakup song that’s both sentimental and packed with attitude. “Whatever” is available now at all digital retailers HERE.

On “Whatever,” Naliya loops a ghostly synth line around her sugar-coated croons. “I guess I’m kind of glad that you’re gone,” she announces with a smirk. Her airy vocals give the song a silky R&B aura and her sparse production keeps the track light and fluid, but eventually, blown-out beats crash sidelong into the instrumental, lending weight and drama to the proceedings. Altogether, the track sharpens the intimate electro-pop style that’s becoming her signature.

“Whatever” follows the July release of the smooth “Roller Coaster” and Naliya’s Interscope debut, “Handshakes,” which has already gathered over 555K streams since May alongside immense critical praise. “You’re going to listen to it non-stop, it’s guaranteed,” promises The Honey PopNaliya has also garnered major co-signs from hitmaking songwriter J Kash and pop superstar Adam Levine, who eventually enlisted her songwriting skills for his 2021 Billboard Hot 100 hit with Jason Derulo, “Lifestyle.”

Already a behind-the-scenes pop force, Naliya is building herself up to be one of this year’s most exciting new artists. She’s currently putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming debut EP, and with songs like “Whatever” out, she’s already offered plenty of reasons to listen closely to what she has to say.
