The pgLang for Converse partnership is back—this time with a twist of fate. Debuting a black colorway of the pgLang for Converse Chuck 70, the collaboration introduces an experience that will randomly ship one of two new variations of the shoe. In an age of choice abundance, pgLang and Converse are letting luck decide which pair is right for you.

Founded in 2020 by Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free, pgLang is a company driven by a mission to tell stories that transcend language and connect people through shared experiences. At the core of pgLang’s identity are curiosity, accessibility, and creativity, all of which are on display in this latest offering with Converse.

The collaboration’s second installment reintroduces its minimalist interpretation of the Chuck 70, this time in black with two variations. Close examination rewards the curious eye, revealing subtle differences that distinguish the pairs from each other. One pair features Converse Navy pinstriping on the left shoe and Irish Cream on the right; the other features Irish Cream pinstriping on the left with Converse Red on the right.

Rounding out the details, the pgLang for Converse Chuck 70—which originally debuted in May 2022—returns with hiking-style eyelets lining the upper and an asymmetrical rubber varnish. Messages and graphics on the insole and outsole also nod to pgLang’s mission of transcending language. A “pgLang for” tout is embossed above the Chuck ankle patch on the canvas upper.

Together, this purist approach and subtle detailing blends Converse’s classic style with pgLang’s creative ethos.

The pgLang for Converse experience will go live at Converse.com and pg-lang.com on November 2.
