Together, through music and an inspiring message, LOVELOUD and AT&T can share our vision of a future where LGBTQ youth are connected to love and acceptance.

LGBTQ+ teen suicide, often caused by a lack of communication or an absence of
acceptance, is one of the most troubling issues in the community. The numbers are
• Suicide is the second leading cause of death in the US for youth (teenagers) according to
the Center for Disease Control.
• LGBTQ+ youth that come from a home or community where they are not accepted are
eight times more likely to commit suicide.

“We at LOVELOUD are determined to help create a more loving and accepting environment for them, while also hoping to raise more than $1 million dollars for local and national LGBTQ+ charities” said founder and Imagine Dragons front-man Dan Reynolds. “We look forward to a day dedicated to celebrating their diversity while listening to great music and inspiring speakers.”

LOVELOUD Festival will take place Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Salt Lake City, UT at the
Eccles Stadium and feature performances by Grammy® Award-winning artists Imagine
Dragons, Zedd and Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda along with Grace Vanderwaal, Neon
Trees’ Tyler Glenn and A.W. Stand-up comedian, actor and writer Cameron Esposito will also perform and emcee the day’s festivities. More performers and speakers will be
announced in the coming weeks.

LOVELOUD tickets will go on sale Friday, April 6 at 10AM MST. Festival goers can
purchase tickets HERE. Doors open for the LOVELOUD Festival at 2pm and the music
begins at 3:30pm. The festival will feature food, beverages and a number of other
activities for fans of all ages and interests. The LOVELOUD Foundation will donate
proceeds from this year’s event to benefit LGBTQ+ organizations including Encircle, the Tegan and Sara Foundation and the Trevor Project.

“LOVELOUD’s inspiring goal is to raise $1 million dollars for LGBTQ+ organizations in
one day, and we know that this amazing program of music and speakers will entertain,
educate and inspire everyone who comes out in support on July 28th," said Tegan and Sara. “We started the Tegan and Sara Foundation to bring resources and attention to
issues affecting the LGBTQ community, and we are proud to work with the LOVELOUD
team to amplify their urgent message of acceptance and unconditional love.”

As part of this quest, Dan Reynold’s created a documentary centered around
LOVELOUD, called Believer. The film received runner up for the “Festival Favorite Award” at Sundance Film Festival 2018 and will premiere on HBO in June.

LOVELOUD’s inaugural festival bowed August 26, 2017 in Orem, UT at Brent Brown
Ballpark. The event drew 17,000 concertgoers and featured live music from Imagine
Dragons, Neon Trees, Krewella, Nicholas Petricca of Walk the Moon (Acoustic), Joshua
James, and Aja Volkman. In 2017, LOVELOUD Foundation lent its support to various
charities such as Encircle and Stand4Kind, as well as national charities, The Trevor
Project and GLAAD.

The LOVELOUD Foundation is a catalyst to bring communities and families together to
help ignite the vital conversation about what it means to unconditionally love our LGBTQ+youth. LOVELOUD offers hope to young people, letting them know they’re not alone and encouraging acceptance in the home and community. It all begins with talking about, sharing and showing the realities of what LGBTQ+ teens face daily. The LOVELOUD Foundation is a 501c3.

2006, AT&T was one of the first U.S. corporations to offer transgender-inclusive health
care benefits. At AT&T, diversity and inclusion will always be top priorities.

AMC Theatres’ Advance Ticket Sales Records Getting Obliterated by AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

LEAWOOD, Kan.–It’s taken fans of Marvel’s Avengers film franchise 10 years to arrive at one of the most pivotal moments in movie history with the release of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR on April 27. It took just 72 hours for those fans to create new advance ticket sales records for superhero movies at AMC Theatres® (NYSE:AMC).

“The incredible advance ticket sales success we’re seeing with AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is another example of consumers giving evidence that they will come out to movie theatres in huge numbers when Hollywood makes movies they want to see”

Reflecting the first 72 hours after tickets went on sale, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR more than tripled the next closest superhero movie, BLACK PANTHER, during the same timeframe.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Advance Ticket Sales After 72 Hours:
257.6% ahead of BLACK PANTHER
1106.5% ahead of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

The biggest draw for advance sales are premium formats: Dolby Cinema at AMC, IMAX at AMC and PRIME at AMC.

“The incredible advance ticket sales success we’re seeing with AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is another example of consumers giving evidence that they will come out to movie theatres in huge numbers when Hollywood makes movies they want to see,” said Adam Aron, CEO and President of AMC. “Just like we saw with BLACK PANTHER, JUMANJI, THE GREATEST SHOWMAN, and so many others, movie fans are buying their tickets in advance, they’re buying in premium formats, they’re buying to reserve their seats, and they’re doing so in massive, record-breaking numbers.”

For the opening weekend of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR beginning the evening of April 26, AMC has more than 7.6 million tickets available and nearly 40,000 show start times. AMC’s programming team continues to work closely with theatres to add showtimes as necessary on a location by location basis.

“The success of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is a testament to the storytelling and franchise craftsmanship from Marvel and Disney, and like our AMC movie fans, we are excited to see what this next chapter holds, and for what could be another record-setting opening weekend,” said Elizabeth Frank, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Programming and Chief Content Officer, AMC.

2018 Monster Energy Supercross Championship Races into Atlanta March 3, 2018

ATLANTA – Tickets for the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross event at the brand-new, world-class Mercedes-Benz Stadium are on sale now. The 2018 season will be the most exciting and entertaining of all-time as a new era of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, will change the battleground forever with a revised points system, the addition of three Triple Crown Monster Energy Cup-style events, two East/West 250SX Shootouts, four Supercross Amateur racing events and the elimination of semi races in qualifying for the Main Event.

As the most competitive and highest-profile motorcycle racing championship in the world, Monster Energy Supercross has entertained millions of fans for 43 years inside the most recognizable and prestigious stadiums in North America. Without a past champion potentially on the gate in 2018, the international field is wide open for the world’s most elite athletes to become a first-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion.

WHEN: Saturday, March 3, 2018
Gates/Pit Party open at noon
Opening Ceremonies at 6:30 PM
Racing starts at 7 PM

WHERE: Mercedes-Benz Stadium
1 AMB Drive NW
Atlanta, GA 30313

For the first time in over two decades, the 2018 season will debut an all-new points system to evenly allocate points over all 22 finishing positions. While the gap between 1st, 2nd and 3rd has not changed, the new points system will ensure that the race to the championship will be much more competitive throughout the season as the reward is greater for a better finish.

The elimination of semi races will add further pressure to qualify as the world’s most elite endurance athletes will have just two chances to ensure a spot in the Main Event through one of two heat races or a last chance qualifier (LCQ). This year, the Top 9 in each heat will qualify directly into the Main Event while positions 10-20 will have one last chance to make it through the LCQ. Previously, only five positions would transfer to the Main Event from the heat races and all others would be transferred to a semi race. Eliminating the semi races will make for longer heat races and last chance qualifiers, allowing for more intense battles on the track for the fans.

Atlanta hosted the first round of Monster Energy Supercross during the 1993 season inside what was the largest domed structure in the world, the Georgia Dome, eventually resulting in the city becoming the routine home of the sport in the Southeast. The new season will bring thousands of fans to the edge of their seats in an epic battle of premier off-road motorcycle racing, marking the first time Monster Energy Supercross performs at Atlanta’s brand new, jaw-dropping sport and entertainment facility, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, its ninth stop of the 17-race championship. The Atlanta race is the second city in the inaugural three-city showdown, Triple Crown, where both the 250SX and 450SX Classes will compete. Qualifying races will reduce the field to the top 22 riders in each class, and the 250SX Class will compete in 6-, 10- and 12-minute Main Events, while the
450SX Class will compete in 8-, 12- and 15-minute Main Events. An Olympic-style scoring
method determines an overall winner in each class from all three Main Events, where the lowest combined score will be awarded the overall win.

At each event, fans are treated to unprecedented access to the sport’s multimillion-dollar athletes, their teams and sponsors while getting a behind-the- scenes look at the daylong, pre-race Pit Party at the Georgia World Congress Center, which opens Saturday afternoon at noon and costs $20 at the gate. Or get FREE access by simply recycling an empty can of Monster Energy. Restrictions and additional charges may apply.

In addition, the action-packed weekend will feature Amateur Supercross on Sunday, March 4 at noon when the fastest amateur competitors in 27 classes will have a once-in- a-lifetime opportunity to ride on the Mercedes-Benz track, the same one as their professional counterparts.

‘Drunk’ streaker takes over PGA tournament

Writte By | Jaclyn Hendricks

A 24-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after streaking on the green during a practice round before the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Adam Stalmach, who faces charges of indecent exposure and disorderly conduct, was seen flailing around naked for roughly five minutes before being taken off the course by security.

“Stalmach showed signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication,” Sgt. Ben Hoster, a police spokesman in Scottsdale, Arizona, said Wednesday, per AZ Central.

The tournament is infamous for its rowdy fans. Stalmach received a standing ovation for the performance, and spectators were said to have tossed golf balls in his direction.

“We went over, looked, and saw a gentleman running around without any clothes, because he’s definitely drunk as ever,” Seth Norris, an attendee, told the Arizona Republic, via Fox News.

This year’s Waste Management Phoenix Open finishes Sunday.

Tom Petty’s Cause of Death: Accidental Overdose

Written By | Kory Grow

Singer had been taking several pain medications, including Fentanyl and oxycodone, to treat fractured hip and other issues

After months of speculation, a medical examiner has ruled that Tom Petty died of an accidental overdose, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. The Hall of Fame musician had taken several pain medications, including Fentanyl, oxycodone and generic Xanax. Other medications included generic Restoril (a sleep aid) and generic Celexa (which treats depression).

The coroner’s office listed Petty’s official cause of death as “multisystem organ failure due to resuscitated cardiopulmonary arrest due to mixed drug toxicity,” noting the singer suffered from coronary artery atherosclerosis and emphysema.

Petty had been prescribed the drugs to treat emphysema, knee issues and a fractured hip, his family said in a statement accompanying the results. Petty’s coronary artery disease had been a persistent problem throughout his final tour.

“Despite this painful injury, he insisted on keeping his commitment to his fans and he toured for 53 dates with a fractured hip and, as he did, it worsened to a more serious injury,” Petty’s wife Dana and daughter Adria wrote in the statement. “On the day he died, he was informed his hip had graduated to a full-on break and it is our feeling that the pain was simply unbearable and was the cause for his overuse of medication.”

Petty was found unconscious and not breathing at his Malibu home on October 2nd. He was rushed to a hospital where he was placed on life support. Although he had a pulse, doctors found no brain activity when he arrived and the decision was made to pull life support. He died hours later.

The singer had recently completed a 40th anniversary tour with his band, the Heartbreakers. It was intended to be his “last trip around the country,” though he told Rolling Stone he wasn’t going to stop playing. “I need something to do, or I tend to be a nuisance around the house,” he said.

Petty said he’d experimented with cocaine over the years (“[It] was never a good look,” he told Men’s Journal) and drinking (“I didn’t like the taste or the buzz,” he said). But it was in the late Nineties, when he was in his late 40s and two decades after he’d become a superstar, that he developed an addiction to heroin after a bitter divorce from his first wife. “Tried to go cold turkey, and that wouldn’t work,” he said in author Warren Zanes’ book Petty: The Biography. “It’s an ugly fucking thing.” He sought out treatment for his addiction and remarried in 2001.

“Using heroin went against my grain,” Petty said in the book. “I didn’t want to be enslaved to anything. So I was always trying to figure out how to do less, and then that wouldn’t work. Tried to go cold turkey, and that wouldn’t work. It’s an ugly fucking thing.”

Since his death, several artists have paid tribute to Petty onstage. Country artist Jason Aldean dedicated some of his time as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live to sing “I Won’t Back Down.” Bob Dylan performed Petty’s “Learning to Fly” at a concert in Broomfield, Colorado. And Dave Matthews, Emmylou Harris and others sang “Refugee” at a benefit show in Seattle. Petty’s Greatest Hits album subsequently made it to the Number Two spot on the Billboard chart after his death.

He was laid to rest on October 16th at a private service in Pacific Palisades, California.

Petty’s family said they hope the musician’s death leads to a broader understanding of the opioid crisis. “As a family, we recognize this report may spark a further discussion on the opioid crisis and we feel that it is a healthy and necessary discussion and we hope in some way this report can save lives,” they wrote. “Many people who overdose begin with a legitimate injury or simply do not understand the potency and deadly nature of these medications.”

Full Statement from Dana and Adria Petty

Our family sat together this morning with the medical examiner – coroner’s office and we were informed of their final analysis that Tom Petty passed away due to an accidental drug overdose as a result of taking a variety of medications.

Unfortunately Tom’s body suffered from many serious ailments including emphysema, knee problems and most significantly a fractured hip.

Despite this painful injury he insisted on keeping his commitment to his fans and he toured for 53 dates with a fractured hip and, as he did, it worsened to a more serious injury.

On the day he died he was informed his hip had graduated to a full on break and it is our feeling that the pain was simply unbearable and was the cause for his over use of medication.

We knew before the report was shared with us that he was prescribed various pain medications for a multitude of issues including fentanyl patches and we feel confident that this was, as the coroner found, an unfortunate accident.

As a family we recognize this report may spark a further discussion on the opioid crisis and we feel that it is a healthy and necessary discussion and we hope in some way this report can save lives. Many people who overdose begin with a legitimate injury or simply do not understand the potency and deadly nature of these medications.

On a positive note we now know for certain he went painlessly and beautifully exhausted after doing what he loved the most, for one last time, performing live with his unmatchable rock band for his loyal fans on the biggest tour of his 40 plus year career. He was extremely proud of that achievement in the days before he passed.

We continue to mourn with you and marvel at Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers incredible positive impact on music and the world. And we thank you all for your love and support over the last months.

Thank you also for respecting the memory of a man who was truly great during his time on this planet both publicly and privately.

We would be grateful if you could respect the privacy of the entire Heartbreaker family during this difficult time.
