TOMM¥ €A$H RELEASES INCREDIBLE NEW VIDEO FOR ‘RACKED’
ANNOUNCES 2022 WORLD TOUR
BRAND NEW EP ‘MONEYSUTRA’ OUT NOW
Boundary pushing artist and unique creator TOMM¥ €A$H today releases the brand new video for track ‘RACKED’, adding another credit to his long list of influential and genre bending visuals. Tommy released his brand new EP ‘Moneysutra’ on April 9th, listen now.
The medieval video for ‘RACKED’ takes Tommy back to the dark ages and was shot in various locations across the Baltics and is set on a battlefield, in the grounds of a castle where Tommy plays Rapunzel and a chapel in which he is inaugurated as king. The visuals are typically avant garde for Tommy, who worked with long-time creative partner Anna Himma on the clip, and plays on themes of medieval mythology, religion and the esoteric, pushing the boundaries of his warped sense of humour and style.
On the making of the clip, Tommy said; “This video right here didn’t want to come alive, we tried to come up with a right concept for it over a year..there have been over 5-6 fully written different ideas and some of them even with drawn moodboards for every shot but COVID or something else was always standing in our way…til one beautiful day this medieval vision came to us which was actually the hardest to make out of them all. Anna Himma just shot it out of this world….”
Tommy also announces a huge worldwide tour starting in San Francisco on February 10th 2022 which runs the length of America before travelling over to Europe, Russia and Scandinavia. The tour hits the O2 Kentish Town Forum in London on April 15th and finishes in Copenhagen on May 1st. Tickets available here.
Starting the year by announcing an iconic run of limited customised shoes with Adidas Originals as well as a highly coveted merchandise collaboration with luxury French fashion house Maison Margiela, Tommy then dropped the critically acclaimed ‘Moneysutra’ EP on April 9th, his most accomplished release to date which features Diplo, Eldzhey, Bones, $uicideboy$ and RiFF RAFF.
Tommy spans disciplines and has been lauded across the globe by the fashion industry, the art and music worlds and for his self-directed cult visuals, and has also garnered critical acclaim from press across Europe including appearing on the covers of French style-bible Antidote and the inaugural issue of King Kong Garçon. He also reached #8 in Dazed Magazine’s infamous ‘Dazed 100’ list and has worked with the likes of AG Cook, Charli XCX, 100 Gecs, Joji, Boys Noize and Little Big.
Whilst hitting nearly 70m Youtube views on his own content, he also appeared at the 2020 Pornhub Awards and has an ongoing working relationship with renowned fashion designer Rick Owens, which includes a joint, month long exhibition at the Estonian National Art museum in 2019, a line of merchandise and Tommy walking in Rick’s SS19 catwalk presentation.
