USC honor roll student and RECORDS signee 24kGoldn has a “Lot To Lose”

Marcíto is not wrong 😭This is the first time we’ve seen 24kGoldn get more vulnerable, divulging the stress of balancing a relationship while being a rising star over alt-rock guitars and 808s. He sings, “Take a look at my lifestyle right now, a lot for me to lose / Ain’t always in the right like right now, a lot for me to prove.” In the context of where he’s at – a college freshman on scholarship and signed personally by Barry Weiss (A Tribe Called Quest, Britney Spears) to RECORDS – anyone would start to feel the pressure. Lucky for Marcíto and the rest of us, he’s channeling that stress into absolute bangers.

The San Franciscan started buzzing after the release of his debut single, “Ballin’ Like Shareef,” and eventually signed a deal with RECORDS (a subsidiary of Columbia). Goldn is prepping his upcoming debut EP, to be executive produced by platinum producer D.A. Doman, the man behind Top 10 Billboard hits like Tyga’s “Taste” and Kodak Black’s “ZEZE.” Goldn’s “Valentino,” which has over 1.95 million views and is the song that peaked Barry Weiss’s interest, will be on the project. The EP arrives later this year via RECORDS LLC.
