This week, Juno-Award winning alt-electro pop hitmaker Kiesza released the fashion-forward new visual for latest single “When Boys Cry”. The Nytrix-directed clip sees the Canadian dance juggernaut channeling Charlotte Gainsbourg & Mica Argañaraz in their campaign for Yves Saint-Laurent as she twirls a parasol in a glitter suit. Shot in on the streets of Los Angeles, the “massively groovy” (LADYGUNN) bop marks a minimalistic sonic turn for the singer-songwriter, whose been releasing new music again after a two-year hiatus.
On the track, Kiesza tells LADYGUNN: “I grew up around a lot of men and was always aware of the struggles they faced when it came to opening up about their true feelings…I always feel like being vulnerable is about having an open heart. And that’s not as easy as it sounds, because it takes a lot of courage to be open.”
