The Miami-based pop duo delivers a six-track EP that’s loaded with shimmering synths, trippy melodies, and upbeat rhythms
Based in the Magic City, XAXO is well known for their pop, trip-hop, and atmospheric sound. Their music is effervescent, reminiscent of long, languid South Florida afternoons and kaleidoscopic dreamscapes.
As we move deeper into fall and temperatures continue to drop, the GRAMMY nominated duo offers listeners one last audial burst of summertime sunshine by way of a new six-track EP. Titled ‘MMXX,’ the compilation is a masterpiece of gorgeous melodies and soulful vocals, with guest features including Happy Colors and Saak. One of the tracks, “Dudas,” is a sultry synth-heavy gem accompanied by a music video that’s remarkable in its simplicity. It features split takes of the duo performing on stage and cast in a warm orange light that goes perfectly with the song’s surreal vibe.
