Beeson is the indie rock/alt pop solo project of 22-year-old Jane Beeson. Growing up as the only girl of 6 children in Gilbert, Arizona. Beeson has been crafting songs in the quiet of her bedroom for as long as she can remember. Beeson blends raw lyricism with timeless melodies and production on the edge. Her music could be compared to Lorde as much as it is to Sheryl Crow. A singular sound born of a new generation of writers, artists, producers.
Part of Spotify’s very own Fresh Finds Class of 2023 Beeson has been a staple of Salt Lake City’s music hotbed since 2022. In a scene that has infamously developed and broken some of the worlds biggest bands, Beeson has earned her stripes & fanbase brick by brick Beeson is singular talent with deeply relatable lyricism often inspired by conversation and little corners of communication that maybe would be otherwise overlooked. Beeson has a left of center indie popstar edge, and will be a force to reckon with shaping the future of mainstream pop.
“Keeping Score” is the closing track of Beeson’s vibrant sophomore EP, blending her signature tongue-in-cheek, Sheryl Crow-esque style with poignant storytelling. This song explains her journey of finding peace after leaving Mormonism, reflecting on themes of womanhood, queerness, and family struggles. As a resolution to the pain of a post-religious life, she offers, “I saw God; they said they’re not keeping score.” This release will coincide with the announcement of her first headline tour.”
