Diamond Cafe shares new single + upcoming live dates

Diamond Cafe shares his latest single “Slowly Fading.” This irresistibly upbeat track arrives alongside a music video starring Actress Maddie Phillips (Gen V, Teenage Bounty Hunters) and follows his previously released single “When You Can’t Resist.” The self-directed video was filmed one late night in Vancouver, and in true Lynchian form, pays homage to Laura Dern’s performance in the 1990 film Wild At Heart.
“Slowly Fading” reflects a lost love in a time that once was, or a dream you can never really grasp – it’s the sensation of love being played out in a dream. The song, produced by acclaimed GRAMMY award-winning producer POMO (Free Nationals, Anderson .Paak, and SG Lewis), showcases Diamond’s impressive falsetto vocals and velvet touch.
Diamond will take his undeniable live show on the road this spring and summer with a handful of dates opening for fellow Canadian artist TALK starting this month. He also recently announced an appearance at Festival D’ete in Quebec City with more upcoming shows to be revealed soon.
Named Amazon Music’s Artist To Watch for 2024 and hailed by Pitchfork as a “Pop-Funk Prodigy,” Diamond Cafe creates polished R&B and high gloss pop for a modern era. 2023 saw Diamond make a name for himself by cultivating a devoted fanbase, selling out numerous live shows, and releasing Diamond Cuts, a collection of remastered versions of his independently released fan-favorite tracks. Through these efforts, he has garnered support from notable figures such as Zack Fox, Anderson .Paak, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, and the legendary El DeBarge (“Rhythm Of the Night”), who joined him on stage for a duet during his sold-out debut show in LA. In an industry saturated with manufactured and auto-tuned R&B, Diamond stands out from the crowd with vocal power and range that calls to mind the all-time greats.
