After launching her debut EP, ‘Wish It Wasn’t You’, the rising 18-year-old singer-songwriter Amirah is back with an acoustic rendition of the project. The ‘Wish It Wasn’t You (Acoustic) EP’ showcases Amirah’s sparkling vocals, accompanied by the guitar work of GRAMMY Award-winner Justus West. This six-track EP invites fans to experience their favorite songs, including the standout “Tokio”, in a new light with Amirah’s fresh vocal arrangements. The impressive six-song project, under the executive production of Mustard, is brimming with rich chords and alluring melodies that are sure to captivate listeners of all ages.

Just last week, Amirah gave her classmates a pleasant surprise when she performed for the first time during “Senior Day”. With Mustard’s introduction, Amirah delivered a performance that left her classmates and teachers spellbound, just before her prom. But the surprises didn’t stop there. During her graduation day the following week, she unveiled the acoustic version of ‘Wish It Wasn’t You’. Through an engaging compilation video, Amirah announced the imminent release of the project.

Amirah’s journey in music is a reflection of her tenacity and resilience. She began playing the piano at the young age of 3 and had her first solo performance with the church choir at 7. Even the pandemic, which brought the world to a standstill, couldn’t hold her back. Instead, it provided her with an opportunity to display her talent on TikTok. Her first video, posted in March 2021, went viral within three months, garnering over 11 million views. The success of the video led to her signing with Mustard’s Grammy Award-winning label, 10 Summers/Interscope Records, just half a year later.
