VONOFF1700 IS #TURNTUPNOTBURNTUP ON ANTICIPATED NEW PROJECT OUT NOW
Primed to make a major impact following tastemaker praise, massive features, and tens of millions of streams, critically acclaimed enigmatic Chicago artist VonOff1700 uncovers his anxiously awaited new project, #TurntUpNotBurntUp, out now via Signal Records/Columbia Records, listen HERE.
He paved the way for its arrival by teaming up with two hometown legends, Polo G and G Herbo, on “Dead N****s.” The latter quickly amassed over 2 million Spotify streams and 4 million YouTube views on the music video. In its wake, HotNewHipHop boldly predicted, “with so many aspiring rappers out there, the changing of the guard is going to happen at some point. Someone who could be a face of the cutthroat subgenre is VonOff1700.”
#TurntUpNotBurntUp kicks into high gear with the title track and opener, and it never lets up from there. Lil Baby blesses “Thuggin,” while VonOff1700 links with Rob49 on the hypnotic “Slide.” He pays homage to a Chi Town icon-gone-too-soon during “Legends,” which features the late King Von. Fittingly, the ride concludes with a bang, landing a one-two punch with “Up It” and the bonus cut “TG Run It“.
Next up, he is currently on the road as direct support on Polo G’s highly anticipated nationwide tour – THE HOOD POET TOUR 2024. Produced by Live Nation, the 26-city tour kicked off on October 24 at Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, CO making stops across North America before wrapping up in Los Angeles, CA at The Wiltern on November 29. Scorey and TwoTime will join as support on all shows. Skylar Bratt and Diany Dior will join as special guests on select dates.
Hitting the gas again, VonOff1700 continues a banner 2024. Beyond endorsements from Polo G, Rod Wave, and more, Sexyy Red notably recruited him for “Sexyy Love Money” on her headline-making and chart-dominating album, In Sexyy We Trust. Releasing on his birthday, VonOff1700’s debut mixtape, #FREEMYHOODFUCKYOHOOD, impressively cracked Apple Music’s Top 20 upon arrival. Plus, he occupied 5 spots of the Chicago Chart’s Top 25. Pitchfork’s Alphonse Pierre notably touted it among his 13 Favorite Rap Mixtapes of 2024 so far.
