19 y/o Florida rapper Rod Wave’s New Album

Alamo/Interscope signee Rod Wave has just released his second project of the year, Hunger Games 3, highlighting his melodic take on reality rap. Wielding a distinctly bluesy and expressive singing voice, Rod is a sharp writer with a supernatural sense of soul–a style that guest artist Moneybagg Yo described as “street gospel” on the recent single “Feel The Same Way.” Over HG3‘s 12 tracks, Rod Wave uses his acrobatic vocal talent to inject lived-in emotion and soaring melody, inviting you to feel his pain.
A rapper from St. Petersburg, Florida, Rod Wave started to build a regional buzz off the strength of his Hunger Games series and collaborations with peers such as GlokkNine. Two of his most recent singles, “Valid,” and “Heart 4 Sale,” have been bubbling in the South, with the former earning a place on Spotify’s Most Necessary playlist. Hunger Games 3 follows the well-received Hunger Games 2, which came out in May.
