Chenayder Unleashes Captivating New Single + Video: ‘Teen Heartbreak’

Chenayder, a 17-year-old artist, unveils her latest single, “Teen Heartbreak”. Accompanied by a video directed by Legit Looks (Lisa Torres and Eric Bastiani), it depicts Chenayder reminiscing about various moments, such as spending time with friends, attending a school dance, and experiencing the whirlwind of a crush. “Teen Heartbreak” reveals Chenayder’s vulnerability as she navigates the complex emotions of youthful romance, serving as a preview of a more extensive project due in mid-July.

Chenayder’s rise to fame over the past year has been remarkable. While attending high school in Orlando, she would use hall passes to sneak off to the restroom and record TikTok versions of her songs. This strategy paid off as she gained recognition from teen idols such as SZA and Tyler, The Creator. In May 2023, she released her debut EP, Blue Oblivion, which includes the track “Strawberry Perfume”, followed by her single “Goodbye”. These songs have received support from influential playlists like Spotify’s Pollen, R&B Weekly, Indie Frequency, On Repeat, and Vanguard. These early successes underscore Chenayder’s undeniable talent and hint at the promising future of this Haitian-American artist who is juggling her studies with a blossoming music career.
