With D4vd Kicking off the Pre-parties at the official Lollapalooza After Show at Metro on July 30th ahead of the incredible weekend filled with music of every genre.

Opening up For the SOLD OUT Chicago Crowd was the talented and all female band ‘Mary & The Matrix’ Mary & The Matrix is an all-female alternative rock band hailing from Nashville, Tennessee. Formed by lead vocalist Mary Malu, the group includes Courtney Dymon on bass, Tess Pope on guitar, and Giselle Bouclé on drums. With influences ranging from Lady Gaga to Joan Jett and Tina Turner, the band focuses on capturing the essence of the female experience and challenging traditional roles for women in the music industry. They Hyped up the crowd with new release ‘ I’ve Got Guns, to covers from one of their Inspiration Lady Gaga. Energetic is a not a great word to describe the crowd as the excitement grew as the night continued. Mary And the Matrix was a great way to kick off the night as they really fed off the crowd and it showed in their stage presence and performance.

D4vd was Up to perform, and the excitement grew 10-fold! The innovative artist focused the majority of his performance on tracks from his debut EP, Petals to Thorns, which dropped via Darkroom/Interscope in 2023. His smash hit “Romantic Homicide” created an entrancing atmosphere throughout the venue, while his heartfelt track “My House Is Not A Home” infused the evening with deep emotional resonance. D4vd fed off the excitement and took chances to interact with the crowd from signing posters to acknowledging Fan art which he signed. The Chicago love was definitely felt. This was a great way to get a taste of the bigger things to come as D4vd was scheduled to perform on Thursday, the first day of Lollapalooza! The Metro Crowd Sang along all night which was incredible to experience.
