DIFERENTE NIVEL Turns Back Time To Captivate Fans With New Corrido “VARIOS AÑOS”
Let’s take a trip back in time, back to 2018 with Diferente Nivel, one of the most original and ground-breaking groups in Mexican music. After an unstoppable streak of successful albums and singles in genres ranging from norteño sinaloense to banda and experimenting with the charleston among others, the group returns to corridos with “Varios Años, the first single from a new album.
“We have explored different genres, always in the way have wanted to and it has been interesting, but we wanted to return to our roots with these corridos that people like so much,” says Arturo Balderas, composer and singer of the group.
For their new album the group worked on corridos they had set aside from the past. “I wrote them some a while ago and for some reason they didn’t make it into our last albums,” adds Balderas. “Now that we have worked on them again, they have a different meaning. I think that’s why I like so much that we have started with ‘Varios Años’, it talks about the year 2018 when I didn’t have so many responsibilities and I was composing like crazy. It’s a time worth reliving.”
For the official video the group returned to a theater in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, where they took the photo that would become the cover of their album Sigue Siendo Diferente (2018), an album that in 2018 opened doors for them. “It’s part of the story of Diferente Nivel and we want to make you part of it,” added the composer.
The single appears in the midst of a continuous tour in which they are visiting Mexico and the U.S.: Hemet, Mazatlan, Uruapan and Navojoa are just some of the cities they have already visited with tremendous success and with more tour dates to be added. Diferente Nivel broke attendance records last year with more than 27 thousand people gathered to listen to them at the Fiestas del Sol in Mexicali.
