4N Records’ Ikky releases his latest single “Hello Hello Hola” with Garry Sandhu, Las Villa and MC Davo, available on streaming platforms and digital stores here.
“Hello Hello Hola” has already been playlisted for Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’ for three territories; Latin, Punjabi and Canada as well as Apple Music’s local playlists, whilst being received extremely well by Ikky’s 4.1M Monthly listeners!
“It was amazing getting to watch this song become more global in its creation. This started as an initial recording session in the UK, which I then took to sessions in Columbia and Mexico and finished production on it in Toronto. And then to get to shoot the video in Columbia? What a truly international song!” Ikky says of the release, adding: “The song is a perfect representation of the kind of work we’re doing at 4N and will continue to do. We are working to bring the Punjabi sound and language around the globe.” Ikky’s 4N Records launched last yearin partnership with Warner Music Canada, Warner Music India and Coalition Music, with an aim of bridging the gap between India’s exploding music scene and the rest of the world.
Speaking on his talented collaborators on the single Ikky says, “It’s always a pleasure getting to work with Garry Sandhu, and then having Las Villa and MC Davo join in really helped to bonify the song in the Latin world. Everyone really brought their own energy on this track, and I really think it comes across in the song.”
Kristen Burke, President of Warner Music Canada says, “Ikky is an amazing producer and artist who has brought a uniquely global approach to this song. His ability to bring together such diverse artists from around the world and masterfully incorporate their sounds is truly incredible.”
Most recently, Ikky released “She’s The One,” a posthumous single featuring unheard vocals from Soni Pabla, a prominent figure in the Canadian and Punjabi music industry. Ikky’s unique production celebrates and champions Punjabi music then and now – listen here.
