ISSAM ALNAJJAR TEAMS UP WITH MOHAMED RAMADAN & GIMS ON NEW GLOBAL ANTHEM “TMO”

FEATURING SAMPLE OF KEVIN LYTTLE’S “TURN ME ON”

Jordanian singer and songwriter Issam Alnajjar drops a global smash hit single entitled TMO alongside Egyptian artist and actor Mohamed Ramadan and Congolese rapper GIMS.

As a truly international affair, the song unites the buzzing Jordanian artist with Egyptian multi-hyphenate star Mohamed Ramadan and Congolese hip-hop phenomenon GIMS. Together, they ignite a bold banger that crosses the lines between styles and borders over a sample of Kevin Lyttle’s instantly recognizable “Turn Me On.” On “TMO,” three voices, three countries, and three cultures come together for one anthem unlike anything else.

About the song, Issam commented, “‘TMO’ is one of my favorite songs on the EP, especially since I’m working with two of my favorite artists Mohammed Ramadan and GIMS. Mohammed Ramadan is the one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met and getting to work with him is such a dream come true. GIMS, in my opinion, has one of the richest voices in the music industry, and he added such amazing value to the song. Having them both on a sampled song ‘Turn Me On’ by Kevin Lyttle is groundbreaking because the song is already an iconic, global hit, and then we added a new sound to it. We stayed true to the original song, but singing it in Arabic made it our own.

Regarding the showstopping cross-continental video, he elaborated, “We shot the music video in three countries, and it was honestly hectic. We shot with Mohammad Ramadan in Egypt, with GIMS in Morocco, and my solo scenes in Los Angeles. I’m super excited for this release, and I hope everyone likes this collaboration!”

Mohamed says, “When Sal sent me this song, I heard it and loved it immediately so recorded it soon after. I’m happy to release a song with Issam, who’s an up and coming artist I’m very excited about, and my brother GIMS, who I’ve already had big success with.”

GIMS chimes in, saying, “I loved the song as soon as I heard it, and Issam is a great artist who I enjoyed working with and can’t wait to see him continue to takeover. I’m really excited for another big song together with Ramadan.”

“TMO” kicks off a new era for Issam Alnajjar, as it arrives on the heels of his fan favorite single “Ansaki.” The song’s music video generated 6.5 million YouTube views. “Ansaki” notably followed Issam’s debut album Baree?, which has amassed over 1.5 billion global streams since the release of his global viral hit “Hadal Ahbek.” Additional breakout tracks from Baree?include “Si Tu Vuelas (Hadal Ahbek)” with Danna Paola and Alok, “Turning Me Up (Hadal Ahbek)” with Loud Luxury and Ali Gatie, and Hada Ghareeb featuring Palestinian-Chilean artist and fellow Universal Arabic Music signing Elyanna.

The 19-year-old singer, songwriter, and guitarist Issam Alnajjar has made history with “Hadal Ahbek,” as it is the first Arabic song to explode worldwide as a viral #1 hit. Upon release, the track peaked at #1 on Spotify’s US and Global Viral 50 Charts and Shazam’s Top 200 Global Chart, as well as reached Top 20 spots on Apple Music’s Global Hits and Viral Hits Playlists. On the international stage, it hit #1 on Spotify’s Viral Chart in 25 local markets, including UK, Canada, Germany, France, and Mexico, and #1 on Shazam’s Top 200 Chart in 24 local markets. In 2021, Issam was named one of GQ Middle East’s Men Of The Year, and Forbes Middle East included him on their 2021 30 Under 30 list. You can learn more about Issam’s story HERE.
