The last few months have been filled with milestone accomplishments for Dominican star Jenn Morel. She was chosen as the face of Spotify’s #LoNuestroEsArte campaign, which aimed to celebrate Lantinx culture and creators during Hispanic Heritage Month. That’s not all, she’s also emerged from the studio with a knockout album — her debut, in fact. The self-titled compilation features 12 hip-swinging songs designed to get fans moving, like the floor-shaking beats of “Machukalo” and the bass-heavy rhythms of “Pónteme,” which features lyrics Latinx listeners will likely recognize from their childhoods.
The album comes accompanied by an official music video for one of its hardest-hitting tracks — the fierce and atmospheric “Grammy” featuring Ecko, one of the pioneers of the Latin trap movement in Argentina and the first Argentinian Urban artist to play at SXSW. The video showcases Jenn decked out in fabulous outfits, including a brilliant gold majorette-inspired ensemble, and an ‘80s throwback look that’s as sexy as it is nostalgic. |
