JOSSEF JOINS THE UNIVERSAL MUSIC LATINO FAMILY AND RELEASES HIS NEW SINGLE “QUE RARO”

Jossef, the multi-platinum singer-songwriter from Puerto Rico who adds flavor to the urban genre while infusing a mix of melodies, and who transports his followers through songs that reveal meaningful reflections and intense emotions, releases his new single “Que Raro,” the singer’s first work under the Universal Music Latino label.

Jossef, who was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has amassed over a billion streams across all digital platforms at his young age. The singer-songwriter catapulted himself onto the music scene with his songs “Enciéndelo,” “Persia Remix” and “X2″ paralyzing the entire world together with artists of the urban genre such as Ñengo Flow, Jamby ‘El Favo’ and Eix.

His talent and roots have inspired him to explore new creative opportunities to maximize his love of music and share it with the audience. He has collaborated with artists such as Mariah Angeliq, Ñengo Flow, Jamby ‘El Favo,’ EIX y Toto y El Frío and his musical proposal is unique as it ventures into a range of genres that go through alternative rock, urban music, and soft R&B among others. Additionally, Jossef draws inspiration from life’s lessons and uses storytelling to evolve his sound and music.

“Que Raro” written by Jossef together with Fantasma and produced by OceanVi and Charlie Night City, talks about the lack of reciprocity when a person is still in love with their previous partner and cannot connect with someone new who is willing to share their energy and create a different love story. That’s why the chorus of the song says: “What else can I do if after all you still think about him?”

The video for the song, directed by Abez, shows the story of a couple who goes through different stages in their romantic life and, despite the love they have for each other, the woman keeps thinking about her ex until she finally abandons her new partner. This story, with which many people will be able to identify, is expressed through a different reggaeton marked by a unique introduction typical of Jossef’s explorations. According to the artist:

“This song signifies moments that could have happened to me, as they could have happened to anyone else. That’s the beauty of music, with just one person who identifies with what we artists are telling, we meet the goal. That’s what “Que Raro” and all my music is about.
