LASTMONDAY SHARES HIS NEW ONE TAKE, OPTICAL ILLUSION RIDDEN VIDEO FOR “SUSURRO RIDDIM”

Bronx-born and raised Dominican artist LASTMONDAY returns with a new video for his song “Susurro Riddim,” giving the single newfound energy. Inspired by The Ying Yang Twins’ “Wait (The Whisper Song), the track sees LASTMONDAY put his own Latin twist on the quintessential song resulting in an infectious rendition that fuses genres.

Directed by Modern Day Auteur, the video follows LASTMONDAY doing his “Susurro Riddim” dance routine across a dimly lit room in a one take routine brimming with visual illusions. Random objects appear as the Bronx artist appears to be exiting the room, only to return back to the dancefloor.

The video arrives hot on the heels of his debut mixtape Yo, Tigerito!, which received praise from NPR, Rolling Stone, The Fader, Forbes, V Magazine, i-D, Noisey, Remezcla, Ones To Watch, Nylon, and more. Additionally, LASTMONDAY has recently been collaborating with some of the biggest artists in Latin music including Sky Rompiendo (J. Balvin), Fuego, A.Chal and DVLP (Lil Wayne, Eminem, Shakira).

The Yo, Tigerito! mixtape shares a glimpse inside the mind of a young man who grew up within the Bronx’s boiling pot of cultures as he brilliantly blends some of the biggest and culturally impactful records in Latin music, hip hop, and R&B. LASTMONDAY’s music bridges the gap between generations and cultures, ultimately spotlighting many first and second-generation youth and marginalized communities in the US.

“I just like to do cool shit and push the envelope however I feel it. The cocktail of reggaeton, samba, salsa and jazz that the beat on this track was channeling immediately possessed me to start whispering my words and I just went with it because why the f**k not.” – LASTMONDAY
