Emerging artist LUM releases his addictive single “4 Sho” featuring Toronto based artist Dom Vallie. With an irresistible hook, the melodic hip-hop ballad produced by multi-platinum producer Eestbound (Travis Scott, Young Thug), is an anthem arriving just in time for cuffing season.
This collaboration came at the perfect time for LUM, who has been a longtime fan of Dom Vallie, an artist who rose to prominence following the release of his eponymous single “Vallie Mode” in 2019 and subsequent hit “Been Himma” in 2022. After meeting through Eestbound, the pair instantly connected over the magnetic production, and set out to create what has become a dynamic collaboration.
LUM’s prevailing desire as an artist has been to create music that not only makes people feel something, but create music that lasts. While he first garnered traction on Tiktok and is no stranger to online buzz, of “4 Sho’ he emphasizes, “I’m not here for the moment, I want to create timeless music – I want listeners to hear a song and in 2028 whether happy or sad, still feel the emotion I’m trying to convey.”
“4 Sho” follows the release of LUM’s summer hit “Stronger” featuring Atlanta rapper KILJ, and “Made it Far”; two singles which speak to LUM’s motivations and perseverance, in his journey as a rising star.
The past summer season marked several accolades for the Windsor-born artist – including being named Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Canadian artist in July 2023, and covering SoundCloud’s emerging artist playlist ‘The Lookout’. With electrifying performances at Vancouver’s LUNA Festival and Toronto Metropolitan University’s 2023 FROSH Week, LUM shows no signs of slowing down as he continues to make strides in the Canadian music industry.
