Mae Muller releases her brilliant new EP – ‘My Island’ OUT NOW

Mae Muller releases her most honest, liberated, and vibrant body of work yet — her brand new EP My Island. The five-track project marks a powerful new era for Mae: one that embraces creative freedom, emotional transparency, and the unfiltered joy of making music on her own terms.

After a whirlwind rise to pop stardom — including a Platinum-certified hit, a debut album, and representing the UK at Eurovision — Mae took a step back from the industry in early 2024, determined to rediscover the joy in music for herself. “Not having a label has forced me to trust myself, which is a really powerful tool,” she says. My Island is the exhilarating result of that introspective journey — a celebration of solitude, self-trust, and sonic playfulness.

The EP’s title track, “My Island,” sets the tone — both literal and metaphorical. “It’s isolated, but safe. It might not be perfect, but it’s mine and I’m keeping it afloat,” Mae explains. From the camp-pop euphoria of “Hello Kitty” to the flirty, drum & bass-tinged “Touch Me City,” each song reflects a different facet of Mae’s rediscovered artistry.

Track four, “In My Head (I Hate It Here),”is Mae at her most lyrically vulnerable, capturing the overthinking spiral of anxiety and self-perception. The EP closes with the anthemic “Breakaway,” her danceable comeback single released earlier this year, which has already struck a deep chord with fans online.

Whilst My Island is deeply personal, it’s designed to be shared, felt, and danced to. “I want people to feel the joy. Because that’s what it’s been for me — finding the joy again,” Mae says.
