MIGUEL CORNEJO, JUAN FREER AND JAZIEL AVILEZ PRESENT “COMO SOÑÉ”, A NEW STATEMENT IN CONTEMPORARY MELODIC CORRIDO

Rising Música Mexicana star Miguel Cornejo presents “Como Soñé”, a corrido tumbado featuring Juan Freer and Jaziel Avilez.
This song marks Cornejo’s first release since Apocalypse, his sophomore album, which dropped this past March.
On “Como Soñé,” Cornejo, Freer, and Avilez blend their distinctive styles to create a melodic corrido tumbado that explores themes of personal growth, family pride, and the reality of growing up on the streets, while offering a critique of materialism.
These elements come to life through emotional storytelling and verses that will inevitably resonate with listeners, who will see themselves reflected in this musical narrative.
The track, written by Mario Moreno Chan, Brando Flores and Juan Freer, showcases exquisite musical production by Moreno Chan and Flores. The requinto takes center stage, complemented by the bold tololoche and distinctive charcheta textures, creating the perfect backdrop to highlight Cornejo’s freshness, Freer’s narrative power, and Avilez’s melodic delivery.
“Como Soñé” serves as the sequel to “Yo Vengo De La Nada,” the hit collaboration between Freer and Cornejo released in December 2024, which marked a turning point in both artists’ careers. This new track, like its predecessor, chronicles the artists’ struggle to rise and build solid careers in the music industry.
The strategic union of talents in “Como Soñé,” combined with top-tier production, represents the evolution of Contemporary Mexican Music and a declaration that these rhythms are here to stay.
